1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Minnal Browser (“the App,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you install and use our Android browser application. By using the App, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Summary

• The App is a web browser. Most activity occurs between your device and websites you visit; those sites have their own privacy practices.
• We use Google Firebase for analytics and crash reporting in release builds.
• We use Google AdMob to show advertising in parts of the App (for example, native ads in bookmark-related UI).
• Bookmarks, browsing history, cookies, and similar data are primarily stored on your device unless you sync or export them yourself (if the App offers that).
• Incognito mode is designed to reduce local retention of browsing data for that session; it does not make you anonymous on the internet.

3. Information the App processes

3.1 Browsing and website content

When you load a page, URLs, page content, and data you enter are sent to the servers you choose and to any third parties those pages load (such as ads or analytics on the site). The App does not change that basic behavior of the web.

3.2 Data stored on your device

Depending on your settings and usage, the App may store on your device, among other things:

• Bookmarks
• Browsing history
• Cookies and site data (including web storage)
• App preferences and settings (for example, privacy options such as location access for websites, third-party cookies, Do Not Track, WebRTC, and clear-on-exit options)
• Downloaded files you save through the browser
• Ad blocking / hosts-related data used to filter requests

You can clear much of this from Settings → Privacy, subject to Android and WebView behavior.

3.3 Incognito mode

Incognito uses a separate browsing context intended to avoid mixing that session’s data with your normal profile and to limit persistence of certain browsing data on the device when you close incognito. It does not prevent websites, networks, or advertisers from observing activity at their layer, and it does not guarantee complete erasure in all cases.

3.4 Permissions

The App may request or use Android permissions including, where applicable:

• Internet — required for browsing.
• Network state — for features that depend on connectivity.
• Notifications — for example, status related to private browsing or tab counts, where implemented.
• Approximate / precise location — used when you allow websites to access location (browser-controlled).
• Camera, microphone, audio settings — used when websites request media capture, subject to your consent.
• Advertising ID — relevant where advertising or measurement SDKs use it under platform rules.

4. Third-party services we integrate

4.1 Google Firebase

We use Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate usage and Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose stability issues and crashes in release builds. These services may collect device and app-related identifiers and diagnostic data according to Google’s privacy policy and Firebase documentation.

4.2 Google Mobile Ads (AdMob)

We use AdMob to display ads. AdMob and its partners may use identifiers (including, where permitted, the advertising ID) and technical data to show, measure, and personalize advertising, subject to your device settings and applicable law. 4.3 WebView

The App uses the Android System WebView (or Chrome as provider, depending on the device) to render pages. Websites and embedded third parties may set cookies, use trackers, or other technologies. We do not control those practices.

5. How we use information

We use the information described above to provide browsing, bookmarks, downloads, and related features; operate, secure, and improve the App; show ads where implemented; and measure aggregate usage and fix crashes.

6. Legal bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)

Where required, we rely on legitimate interests (App operation, security, analytics, advertising-funded distribution) and/or consent (for example, consent managed through the OS or ad consent flows where applicable). You may have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

7. Retention

• On-device data is retained until you delete it or uninstall the App, subject to Android backups if backup is enabled on your device.
• Firebase / AdMob data is retained according to Google’s policies and your Firebase/Ads configuration.

8. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). If you believe we have collected child data inappropriately, contact us using the email above.

9. International transfers

If you are outside the country where we or our processors operate, your information may be processed in other countries, including the United States, where laws may differ.

10. Security

We use reasonable measures appropriate to a consumer browser app. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

11. Your choices and controls

• Device settings: reset advertising ID, limit ad tracking, and manage permissions in Android settings.
• In-app settings: Privacy options (location for sites, cookies, Do Not Track-related behavior, WebRTC, clear on exit, manual clear actions).
• Uninstall: removes the App from your device; cloud or device backups may still retain data according to your backup settings.

12. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide notice in the App or store listing.
